I'm so grateful that you've chosen me to capture your family's special moments during this wonderful season of life! I want you to know that I take this responsibility very seriously. You can trust me to create beautiful memories that you'll cherish for years to come.
To create such a thing, a little bit of planning is needed. From the clothes, you and your family will wear to how each family member can come to our session fully prepared.
A guide that is made to help you have a family session session full of love and sweet moments.
Welcome!
Being a mum is the greatest gift of them all. Our love for our children is unconditional, but it can also cause stress and pressure, especially when it comes to special moments that mean a lot to you, like having your family photos taken.
We want these moments to be perfect and get all the love we have for our family captured.
I want to give that moment to you, and together, we will plan and prepare for this special moment so that you can have beautiful memories to cherish.
I will always be here giving advice and sharing my knowledge during your planning process.
When it comes to getting ready for a photo shoot, the biggest question on everyone's mind is usually what to wear.
But don't worry, I've got you covered! I have a client wardrobe that you can borrow pieces from for yourself and your children.
While I'm not exactly a stylist, but I do have plenty of experience taking family photos and can definitely suggest what clothing will make you and your family look your best in your pictures.
a tip!
Start with what you will wear and plan the rest of the family's clothes after that.
This is when we meet, and I will have your photos taken. You will probably feel a bit nervous, but I assure you that it will be gone after five minutes.
Your session will be full of love and laughter, with no stiff poses. I will capture you in your natural interaction with each other. I will gently guide you but never pose you.
It will be a moment not only captured in photos but also in your heart.
A Tip!
When talking about the session with your family, make sure you make it sound like something fun!
Around 3 weeks after your session, you will receive your gallery.
You can add more information specific to your photography business, like how you deliver, what's included, etc.
a tip!
Let me know before our session if there is anything specific you have in mind for your home and walls.

I know you want to tell your children that when we have the session, they should look into the camera, smile, and do exactly as the photographer asks them to.
Please don't do that. I want you to tell them that they will have a really fun time having the photos taken.
Because I will play with your children. I will make funny sounds, do ugly dances, play peek-a-boo, and everything in between.
And this is how I want you to talk about it a few days before the session. Excite the children as much as possible and don't give any exhortations.
Prepare smaller kids
Prepare Older Kids
If you have older kids, the news about the photo session could be everything from super fun to the worst possible thing to do.
Listening to their feelings about having their photos taken is also important. In a time when their bodies develop, it can be a sensible and uncomfortable experience to be forced to show up in pictures.
This can be very difficult, but communicating and allowing them to be involved in the process and choosing clothes they feel comfortable and happy with is an excellent way to meet their uncertainty.
Not all men are excited about having their photos taken.
It could be to earlier not-so-positive experiences or that he knows how much this means to you and don't know how to meet your expectations.
No matter the reason, the best you can do is to educate him.
Show him some of my earlier galleries so that he knows what kind of photos will be taken.
Let him know that there won't be any stiff poses, and you will be together in a natural way with some guidance from me.
Even if he might not be interested in what he will wear, ensure that he has approved the clothes you picked for him to wear during the session. To feel comfortable is very important.
Prepare the husband
A perfect way to spoil yourself is to get your hair and make-up done professionally.
It also removes the stress of getting ready when you are probably already nervous before your session.
But the most important thing is that you feel comfortable. If that is letting your hair down, you should come to the session with your hair just down.
This is important for the rest of your family as well.
Please ensure that they have been at the hairdresser a couple of days before and that daddy's beard is groomed.
But also here, feeling comfortable is key.
Hair & makeup
You know your children the best, and please let me know before our session if there is anything you feel I need to know about your children. Are they shy, anything particular they love, have difficulties with something, etc?
It can be challenging to plan and schedule that all children have napped and eaten before we meet. But do your best, as you probably know that tired and hungry kids are up for anything.
I know all children are different. Some are shy, some are very enthusiastic, and some don’t want their photos taken at all. Some children need more time to warm up, while others don’t. I'm aware of this and don't want you to stress about how they act.
What we will create together is beloved memories of your family, for your family. I know that you, as mama have many things going on in your head. And the truth is that most of the family's happiness relies on you, which is a big honorable task every mother is given. Even if it also can feel stressful.
This is nothing that will change during our photo session. You want to be in control.
You want the children to be happy, you want the children not to have stains on their clothes, you want the children not to eat soil, and you want your husband to be patient and happy.
But those details are not the most important ones. It's that you, as a mama, are relaxed.
Easier said and done.
But I assure you that it's ok if your toddler crawls away to examine a flower or if your middle child does not want to look at his sister.
These things will happen. Our session together will be a happy moment no matter what since you and your family are together, and beautiful memories are created.
Whatever worries you have and whatever your children are up to during the session, it will be all right. Because that is your family and I will capture beautiful pictures of you.
Feeling unsure about your body, especially after giving birth as a mom, can be difficult to overcome.
But I want you to focus on the memories we are creating rather than you look. In 30 years from now, your body is not what's going to be visible in your pictures; it's love, your family, and a moment of life. Your life.
Your family is lovely, and your session is going to be great.
Let those thoughts about perfection go. Instead, be present with your family and enjoy the moment you have with them.
Leave all the worries about children running away to me.
I have many years of experience when it comes to taking photos. Many factors determine a good picture, and the locations as picked are essential for achieving the end result both you and I want.
I kindly ask you to respect my photo locations.
If you wish to have pictures taken at a specific place, please let me know beforehand, and we can discuss the possibilities.
Here, you have a list of items to pack for your family session, helping ensure you have everything you need, but it will also give you peace of mind knowing that you're fully prepared.
When children are involved, you never know what can happen.
Because anything can happen...
If extra comfort is needed. If possible, avoid anything with bright colors in case they will be shown in some photos.
If the energy drops. Preferably something dryer that doesn't leave spots and stains so easily. But avoid raisins and similar as it sticks to the teeth.
For mama if needed
